Brief
Model a toy I’ve had since I was a child and render realistically.
Solution
Robot was rendered in Blender and textures were created from scratch using Substance Painter’s base materials and grunge and edgewear masks. Textures were then brought back into Blender. Photorealistic grass was then added using Geoscatter addon and a HDR background was added to provide base lighting and tree background. Extra lights were used to bring out the robots eyes and details that would otherwise be in shadow. Render time was around 20secs on RTX3070. Render was then post-processed very slightly in Photoshop to improve colour and contrast.
