I’ve always loved design and music, and my design studio doubles up as a soundproof room (to allow me to play whenever I’m free and not annoy the neighbours!)

I’m a keen grade 8+ saxophonist and have played in a number of high quality bands over the years from big bands, jazz and funk groups to classical saxophone groups.  I was a member of The Original Sax Quartet (OSQ) and gigged around the Chippenham and Malmesbury area with my jazz quartet (Progressions/The Jazzy Pixels) for many years playing both jazz standards and my own compositions. I’ve been a member of JazzFactory in Bradford on Avon for many years and regularly play in local jam sessions. I love the parallels between design and music and I’m always looking to try and enhance my skills. Jazz-wise, my favourite recording is ‘Bold Changes’ by Kyle Eastwood. I love the atmospheric feel and catchy melody and the interplay between the trumpet and saxophone.

Here are some samples of my playing. Most were recorded live at a regular slot we had at Whatley Manor or in Shockerwick Studios near Bath. Enjoy.

January 2023:

Now looking to do more live music again, and looking for new opportunities, whether it will be bands, composing, jam sessions or recordings.
